We went ahead and purchased a CS500 array from Nimble Storage. I migrated all my VDI and I/O intensive servers to the array and could see a performance increase right away. My VDI users also have noticed a difference in performance as well. Reboots take around one minute and users don’t get blank screens and other weird issues anymore. I am very pleased with our Nimble purchase and find the GUI simple and Infosight a great addition. The best part about this new venture in performance storage is the cost of the Nimble array compared to other vendors such as Pure Storage.
