I just received a demo FA-405 flash array from Pure Storage. Right out of the box, the performance is amazing as which it should be since it is an all flash array. This is the smallest unit Pure Storage offers, but can do 100,000 IOPS. I am going to throw a bunch of VDI and SQL servers at it, as well has some other I/O intensive servers to see what this array can really do. I have only had it a couple days now and will have an update later about my experience as well as compare it to the Nimble Storage array that I tested a couple months back.
